Boredom seems inevitable while staying at home. Going outside has now become a very sensitive issue to some people as a result of the fear of contracting the deadly Corona Virus. But staying at home can also cause boredom, dullness as well as laziness so in this very article, I’ve compiled some basic things that you can do at home to make your stay a memorable one. 

  • LEARN A NEW SKILL

We’ve spent more than 5 months at home and we still don’t know when we’ll be able to go back to our normal ways of living so why don’t you make use of the time that you have now to learn something new such as graphics design, painting, web design, coding and so on or if you have been wanting to learn one or two skills before but as a result of your busy schedule based on school or work-related activities, then this is the right time to make use of that smart brain of yours and learn the skills. 

One thing you need to take note of while learning this skill is that, you need to be consistent while learning this skill. Just as the popular saying goes; “Rome was not built in a day”, you can never muster the knowledge of something in one day so you need to be consistent on the issue of learning a skill during this time to become an expert at it. It could also prove advantageous for you as it will add to your knowledge and can also serve as a source of income for you so it’s a win-win situation. 

  • PRACTICE SOME EXERCISES

Staying at home can be tiresome sometimes but why don’t you juggle up and get to work to get that perfect body that you have always dreamed of by practicing some exercises. Exercise keeps the body fit and nice. The gyms are currently on lockdown but that shouldn’t be an excuse as there are now different versions of work-out applications out now that you can download and use to practice your exercise every day without any fuss. 

Staying at home gives you the access to eat any kinds of food that you want thereby making your body store large amounts of calories that can make you unnecessarily fat and keep your body in a bad shape thereby jeopardizing your health in the process so you can simply make your stay at home a healthy one for yourself by practicing some exercises to burn those calories and keep your body fit and thus bring out your desired body shape. 

  • SOCIALIZE ONLINE.

Most introverts are keyboard warriors as they find it hard to interact with people physically so this lockdown is the right time for them to socialize online and make friends. To make your stay at home a memorable one, you need to also socialize online and make use of that Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and other social media accounts that you have abandoned to socialize online and make friends, mingle with people, build your brand (for the business gurus), take pictures and post them online, participate in online challenges and bring out your inner beauty. 


Don’t make your stay at home a burden for yourself, live your life and enjoy every day like it’s your last.
